KH3Sora 300th Deviation

And here it is! My 300th deviation! Wow, I've doodled a lot... For a long time I wasn't sure what to do for my 300th, I mean, I knew it was coming once summer started and I was painting again but I wasn't sure WHAT I wanted. But, then, E3 came out and I drooled over all the new games and, well I looked at a doodle I had been doing in a sudoku book and it all clicked in my head. For FIVE HOURS of work I think it came out pretty good.

Before I talk about the piece, first I want to give all credit to Nova Heroi for inspiration for the sky. I've been following her work for FOREVER, she does amazing skyscapes and was kind enough to give me permission to use her pics as inspiration.

Sora himself is amazing. I can't wait to see what worlds he explores in KH3. Frozen? Marvel? Star Wars? Could you imaging him with a lightsaber keychain? (drool) Anyway Sora here is in a relatively simply action pose, most of the work came in learning his new outfit for the game and getting the positioning just right. After that it was about the coloring, which is okay. Maybe I shouldn't brag but I feel like I've always done colors really well, even if not always coloring. This was the first time I did metal that looked not only passable but freaking AWESOME. Look at his keyblade!!

Sora himself is meh. I've done better faces and better hair (mostly because I don't completely understand his hair, like I say in the speedpaint it defies logic...) Proportions are okay for the most part, though the baggy pants make his legs a little wobbly, and there's something off with the feet. Are they small...?

The cutout panel idea looks good. Everything looks "good." I don't know if anything looks "great," but it looks "good," and given that with so many deviations where there are parts I outright hate, this is a win.
