Wow, two deviations in two days! It's amazing what happens when I'm not called in to sub!

Anyway, this is Mirror's take away from the finale. While I was drooling over the power Fluttershy had over the god of chaos Mirror was tripping over god-mode Twilight. Flowy hair, star glitter, and did we mention a speed trail that makes Rainbow Dash's look like flight-camp kindergarten? I wonder if this is what Genie meant with "PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS -- itty-bitty living space."

As for the piece itself... This is one of the better shading jobs I've done in a while. There's a huge difference for me when I"m doing one character versus six, and the up in quality here is obvious, mostly because I had the time to think about reflected light and how to use it. The background is meh, as it the sparkl trail (you can see the difficulties I had with that in the speedpaint), but Twily herself is amazing, from her expression to the positioning of the wings trail's incongruity with the background. The composition for this is a bit better because I knew what I wanted to do to make the eye move; the clouds are in a circular form and the trail is a spiral to give the eye a sense of depth - the price I payfor that, however, is that it draws your eye not to Twily's face but her wing, which is the center of the cicles and spirals. Sigh. I still have much to learn.

What I like: Twiliy's expression, her shading the wings, the trail, the nonconformity of her trail and the clouds.

What I don't like: how the eye travels, her chest and chin, her mane.
